Glazed Malted Cookies

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or regular margarine, softened
2 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup chocolate-flavor malted milk powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 batch malt glaze from below
1 cup malted milk ball candies, crushed

for malt glaze:

1 1/2 cups powdered confectioners sugar
1/4 cup chocolate flavored malted milk powder
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Heat oven to 350 F. Grease cookie sheet with shortening.

Beat brown sugar, butter and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer
on medium speed or mix with a wooden. Mix until well blended. Stir in flour, malted milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until edges are set.
Cool 1 minute. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely for about 15 minutes.

Malt glaze:

Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl with spoon until smooth and spreadable. Spread Malt Glaze over cookies. Sprinkle with crushed malt ball candies.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
