The disc jokey of a small local radio station felt lonely talking to a microphone for seven hours at a day. One Sunday, he asked listeners to call in so he’d know that he wasn’t alone. Three phone calls later, one of which was from his mother, he announced that unless he got more calls, the audience would hear a grown man cry on the air. When he answered the next call, a friendly vi voice said, "You’re gonna be thrilled to death. “You’ve got 40 listeners here!”
After the DJ expressed delight, the caller said, “Yep, I’ve got the radio in the barn for my cows.”
