Ground Beef Pizza Casserole

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
1 cup diced red bell pepper
Seasoned salt and pepper to taste
1 cup and 2 tablespoons flour, divided
1/2 teaspoon fresh basil
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, divided
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
2 cups sliced canned mushrooms
12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons melted butter

Brown beef, onion, garlic, red pepper, seasoned salt and pepper until beef
is no longer pink.

Stir in the 2 tablespoons flour, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and basil. Mix
well. Add tomato sauce; bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Pour into
deep buttered 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle mushrooms over top.
Sprinkle mozzarella over mushroom layer. Set aside.

Combine 1 cup flour, salt, garlic powder and remaining Parmesan; mix well.

Whisk together eggs, milk and butter; pour over flour mixture and stir until
smooth. Drizzle over top of casserole.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or lightly browned.

Sounds like a pretty simple casserole, the kids would probably like this one.
