This is a favorite family recipe that we have on holidays and family reunions.
1 can of crushed pineapple
1 jar of marischino cherries
1 pint of heavy whipping cream
1 bag of mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon of sugar
Drain the pineapple and the cherries. You can freeze the juice to use later for other recipes.
In a large bowl mix the marshmallows, pineapple and cherries. Let sit covered in the fridge for at least an hour.
Whip the cream and the teaspoon of sugar into high peaks.
Fold the whipped cream into the fruit and marshmallow mixture and then enjoy.
For a more festive dessert use the multi colored marshmallows and substitute strawberry quick for the sugar.
