Yes you can. The dryness of the flour is what is usally different. If you are mixing something start out with less water or milk(usally the wet ingredient). Then increase the we ingrient, until you get the desired result.
I wish I could tell you how much to change. The variety of flours makes this a bit hard. Have fun and enjoy your meal.
