Herbed Mushroom Round Steak - Crockpot
2 pounds round steak, about 3/4-inch thick
1 medium onion, sliced
2 (4 ounce) cans mushrooms
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup beef broth
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Trim fat from meat. Cut into serving size portions. Pour a little vegetable oil into a skillet. Brown meat on both sides.
Place meat, onion slices and mushrooms in crock pot. Combine soup, broth and seasonings; pour over meat. Cover; cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
