With the coming of the season of the “cold & chilly” white “stuff”…not to mentin the EOY (End Of The Year), just thought I’d drop this on your desk…JIC

~ Hot Brandy-Milk Punch ~ Â

This old fashioned favorite is still delicious today. It’s the prefect thing to warm cold snow bunnies at a ski party. It’s also much lighter (fat-wise, not alcohol) than most other drinks of its kind.

Makes 4 servings

2 Tbsp molasses
2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp water
1/2 tsp. ginger
4 C milk
1/2 C dark brandy
whipped cream for garnish
nutmeg for garnish

Combine molasses, honey, water and ginger in a medium saucepan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
Slowly add milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until completely heated.
~ DO NOT BOIL ! ~
Remove from heat and stir in brandy. Pour into cups and top with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.
