Hot Buttered Rum

1/2 pound brown sugar
1/2 pound unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp. cinnamon ground
1 tsp. nutmeg ground
1/4 tsp. allspice ground
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In a mixing bowl beat together softened butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract and spices until well combined, can be put in the refrigerate or freezer until ready to use.
In a mug combine 2 heaping tablespoons batter with 1 1/2 oz rum.
Top with boiling water and stir well to mix.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick; optional.
