[ul][u]Hot Milk Cake[/u]
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp butter
1 cup milk
6 tbsp butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp milk
4 oz shredded coconut
Beat eggs and sugar until thick.
Sift together flour, baking soda.
Melt butter in 1 cup of hot milk, then add vanilla.
Add everything to batter at once.
Bake 40-45 minutes @ 350 degrees in 10x14x2 pan.
Melt butter and add brown sugar, milk, coconut, and mix.
Let cake cool for about five minutes, then spread topping
over it lightly with a fork.
Toast in broiler until melted.
Leave oven door open to watch carefully.
Remove, cool slightly, and serve.
