How to make soft idlis?

I am Rajan Shah living in GA, USA. But, I am Indian & love to cook and eat different Indian dishes. South Indian idlis are one of my favorite dish. I always make it by my hand & eat. But, I am little bit confuse with method to make soft idlis. In hotels, I eat soft idlis too many time but, at home I am fail to to get it done. So, How can I get it done? I found one great article on it. But, I want to know more.
