Idaho Style Shepherd’s Pie

About 2/3 pkg. Tater Tots

1/2 yellow onion, diced
1.5# ground beef
2 t. crushed garlic
Creole or Old Bay seasoning to taste
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of celery
1 small pkg. frozen peas and carrots
Milk to control texture, if needed

Heat oven to 450. Prepare Tots almost to desired crispness. Set aside and
lower the heat to 400 degrees.

Saute onion until transparent. Add beef and garlic; saute until done.
Drain well and return to pan. Dust with seasoning. Add other ingredients.
Stir until heated, adding a little milk if too thick.

Turn mixture into a large casserole. Top with the Tots and bake at 400
degrees until mixture is bubbly and topping is crisp.
