Irish potato pie

IRISH POTATO PIE

1 cup white granulated sugar
1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
1 cup mashed and creamed potatoes (white mashed potatoes with cream/milk added)
1/2 stick of butter or margarine, butter lends a finer taste
2 eggs (beaten)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract flavoring
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 (9-inch) unbaked, pastry lined, pie shell

Mix ingredients well and pour
into unbaked, pastry lined, 9-inch pie shell.
Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees F in preheated oven.

This is a famous Southern pie and is sooo good.
