Kiwinanaberry Cream Smoothie

Kiwinanaberry Cream Smoothie

In need of a decent recipes for kiwis I settled on making my own smoothie. It turned out fantastic, and I normally don’t care for smoothies much. I used a bunch of different fruit, but kiwi is the main one here and the smoothie has a nice slightly tart, tangy, and sweet taste.

General Note: Soy milk is used here, but non-fat milk would taste the same. The same for the tangelos but oranges or tangerines would work just as well.

Prep Time: 15 Minutes

INGREDIENTS:
5 kiwis
1 banana
2 tangelos
1 cup mixed fresh berries
1-1/2 cups plain yogurt
1-1/4 cups soy milk
1 Tbsp white sugar
1 sprig fresh mint leaves
10-15 ice cubes

Low Down; use a sugar substitute such as SPLENDA, a Low Fat yogurt, and the non-fat milk as a substitute noted above.

DIRECTIONS:
In a blender or food processor, blend the kiwis, banana, tangelos, berries, yogurt, soy milk (or substitute), and ice. Gradually blend in the sugar to taste. Serve in tall glasses with fresh mint.
