Korean Spicy Pork

Korean Spicy Pork

My favorite Korean dish - spicy pork served over warm steam rice with lettuce on the side to cool down the palate.
Ingredients:

1lb pork, sliced thinly
3 cloves garlic-chopped
1/2 medium onion-chopped
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp sesame seed oil
2 stalks green onion - cut into inch long pieces
salt to taste

Marinade:
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ginger powder
1-2 tbsp chilli powder (adjust according to taste)
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame seed oil

Directions:

  1. Mix pork slices with marinade ingredients. Marinade for 30-60 minutes.
  2. Fry onion and garlic in sesame and vegetable oils.
  3. Add pork into pan.
  4. Let simmer without a lid until juices have evaporated slightly so as to form a coat around pork but pork is not overcooked.
  5. Add salt to taste and sliced green onions.
  6. Alternatively may grill marinaded pork.
  7. Serve with warm steam rice and lettuce.

I love Korean dishes. I hope to see more. Thanks for posting it.
