Layered Brownies

1 pkg. (18-3/4 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 C. chopped nuts
1/3 C. vegetable oil
1 egg
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract

In a mixing bowl, combine dry cake mix, nuts, oil and egg; mix until crumbly. Set aside 1 1/2 C. for topping. Press the remaining crumb mixture into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate chips and salt. Cook and stir over low heat until chips are melted. Stir in vanilla. Spread evenly in pan, sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.

Cool before cutting
