Lemon Cream Salad

1 (10 ounce) lemon lime carbonated beverage
1 cup minature marshmallows
2 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
1 (6 ounce) package lemon flavored gelatin
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 cup cool whip

Combine the carbonated beverage, marshmallows and cream cheese in a heavy saucepan; place over low heat until cream cheese melts; stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Stir in pineapple and pecans. Chill until the consistancy of unbeaten egg white. Fold in cool whip; pour into a lightly oiled 5 cup mold. Cover and chill until firm.
