I had this dish at a seafood place in Houston, TX some years ago and it is very yummy. I talked the chef into giving me the recipe.
3 large packages cream cheese
2 cans lobster ( or crab meat) if lobster is not available
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup good quality mayonnaise
2 teaspoons stone ground mustard
1/2 cup white sauce
2 Tablespoon confectioner’s sugar
2 teaspoons onion juice ( I use 1 teaspoon garlic and 1 teaspoon onion)
1/2 to 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
(Crab meat may be substituted for lobster.) Combine all ingredients in chafing dish and heat. Serve hot as a cocktail dip or on toasted half English muffin for a light meal, or cooled and stuffed in tomatoes. Prepare day of party or make ahead and freeze, using Hellman.s mayonnaise. No cook needed. Just heat and serve, no need to heat the tomatoes.
