I am looking for a recipe for spoon fudge. This is fudge which is poured in tins and is eaten with a spoon. I had this at a craft show and recently bought some for gifts. It is “DELISH”, but pricey at $10 for 8oz. I would like to make them myself in the future. This is a true fudge and not a marshmallow creme fudge. Anyone else have experience with something like this?
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup evaporated milk
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Place all ingredients (except nuts and vanilla) in saucepan. Over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved and chocolate has melted. continue to stir until you get to sfot ball stage (236 f.) Remove from heat; cool to luke warm. Do not stir. When lukewarm, beat until it loses its gloss; stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into individual (buttered) dishes and seve with a spoon.
