Find a copy of the book, Cooking without a Grain of Salt by Elma Bagg. It might be in a used book store, too.
It’s in paperback also.
Years ago I read it and followed her suggestions for foods and vegetables that are naturally salty and what kind of foods to avoid. You just prepare and season your food differently. I found this the best book and most practical for real people. Easy to read.
