Maple Walnut Fudge

Maple Walnut Fudge

1-1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup canned milk
2 T. butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
2 cups (12 ounce.) white chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1-1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring (I use Mapeline as it is stronger flavored)
48 walnut halves or pieces

LINE 8" square baking pan with foil.

Combine butter, milk, sugar and salt in med, heavy-duty pan.Bring to full
rolling boil, stirring constantly, over med heat. and boil, stirring
constantly, 4-1/2 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir marshmallows,
morsels, nuts and maple flavoring.Stir vigorously 1 minute or marshmallows
are melted.

Pour in pan.On top of fudge, place nut halves in rows, about 1/2" apart.
Press into fudge; refrigerate until firm.

Cut in 48 squares with 1 nut half per square.Sweet and smooth.
