This recipe belonged to my grandmother’s sister. It makes an appearance at every family function.
MARIE’S LEMON GOOIES
1 box lemon cake mix
1 egg
1 stick margarine or butter
Melt margarine, mix with cake mix and egg. Press into a greased 9x13 pan.
1 lb. (4 cups) powdered sugar
1 8 oz. package cream cheese (softened)
2 eggs
Mix and beat together good. Spread over bottom mixture.
Bake at 350 degree for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
**Try other flavors of cake mixes.
