Missouri Hash

1 large onion, chopped
1 pound ground beef
2 cups canned tomatoes mashed
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Brown ground beef and onion, season. Add the rest of the ingredients. Put into a casserole dish, cover. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. You can sprinkle on cheese during the last 10 minutes of baking if you like.

That and some vanilla bean ice cream and yum yum. Oh I forgot she made homemade peach ice with the last of my white peaches last week, and I still got some in the freezer. The squirrels usually get most of those, but I put an electric fence around my peach trees this year and I actually got a few. I got zero last year because the squirrels got them all the green ones before they could ripen.

I got lots of pears on my 2 trees, and having to run off squirrels, deer and crows. We have cooked some for a side dish, and are going to make pear preserves. Yummy
