More Monitors for Better Control ( Diabetes )

You know that you need to check your blood glucose frequently, but it’s hard to keep a monitor handy at all times. If your monitors never seem to be where you are, try getting some extras.
Monitors are often provided free or at very low cost, because the companies that make monitors make their money on test strips, not the monitors themselves. So you might be able to get an extra monitor or two pretty cheaply. Keep the monitors where you are most likely to be using them. For example, keep one by your bed (for testing when you wake up or go to sleep), another in your kitchen (for testing before meals), and another at your workplace.

If you spend a lot of time in your car, and you’ll be keeping a monitor there, be careful of extreme temperatures. Do not keep your monitor and your strips in the glove box or trunk, and carry them with you if it is very hot or very cold.
