My Favorite Brownies

The are very good and very moist. I made up this recipe after I’ve tried many other recipes that did not turn out this good. You can also use pecans or macadamia nuts.

1/2 pound of butter (not margarine)

4 squares unsweetened chocolate

2 cups sugar (no substitute)

11/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 cup flour

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cups chopped macadamia nuts

Preheat oven 350*. Lightly grease a 13x9 inch glass pan. Melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate in a double boiler.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar ans eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add the butter-chocolate mixture. Stir in the vanilla, flour and nuts. Mix just until blended. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes check after 30 minutes for doneness. Makes 12 large or 16 small Brownies

Note: For a smaller batch use half the ingredients and bake in a 8x8 inch pan at the same times.
