My Favorite Healthy Recipe- Shirataki Noodles and Bolognese Sauce

Ground up turkey meat
Can of fresh tomatoes
Salt/ pepper
Fresh basil
Package of diet noodles (Shirataki or whatever you like)
Olive oil
Fresh garlic
Can of tomato paste

Steps:

  1. In a frying pan add olive oil and 3-5 cloves of garlic

  2. Brown the garlic by cooking slowly in the oil

  3. Once the garlic is brown add the ground of turkey meat

  4. Fry the meat breaking the meat up into small pieces

Optional- GO CRAZY: ADD SASUAGE OUT OF THE WRAPPER TO THE TURKEY WHEN FRYING IT

(MAKES IT MORE FATENING BUT IT TASTES VERY DELICIOUS)

  1. Once the turkey meat is cooked drain the fat out and transfer the meat from the frying pan to a big (pasta pot)

  2. Add the can of tomatoes and tomatoes paste to the pot, also add salt, pepper, and fresh basil, if you like it spicy add crushed red pepper flakes

  3. The longer you let the sauce cook the better it tastes, let it sit at least one hour for better results let it sit for 4-5 hours cooking on slow mixing the sauce around periodically

  4. Cook your shirataki noodles (watch the video for this. But basic steps are rinse then boil for 2-3 minutes)

Boom healthy fresh pasta in a bolognese sauce

I’ve used shiritaki noodles when I’m trying to cut back on white carbs but because they are already fully cooked DO NOT BOIL THEM, they will become tough! Rinse them, yes, dry them well & then add to a recipe just before serving only to heat. NEVER boil them…where did you hear this?

Why, if you’re using these noodles to cut down on carbs & fats go out of your way to add fats to the sauce?

ALSO, it is NOT safe cooking to let a sauce simmer for 4-5 hours without maintaining a certain temp.
