No Squawk Chicken Fried Steak
Serves 4

1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup oil
1 to 1 1/2 pound lean round steak, cut into 4 pieces
Gravy: 2 heaping tablespoons all-purpose flour 2 cups milk

Beat together egg and water.

Mix together salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and
flour. -
Heat oil in a heavy fry pan over medium-high heat.

Dip steak pieces into seasoned flour mixture, then egg mixture, then
repeat. -
Brown steak on both sides.

Turn down heat, cover, and cook on low heat 20-30 minutes.
Make Gravy

Remove meat to a platter.

Mix 2 heaping tablespoons flour with 2 cups milk.

Stir flour mixture into meat drippings and continue stirring until Gravy
comes to a boil. -
Stir constantly and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and serve.
