Outback Steakhouse Kookaburra Wings

Outback Steakhouse Kookaburra Wings

It’s Super bowl time! Just another fabulous wing recipe for you to enjoy!

Start with your coating –

Combine and mix well:

2 T. flour
1 T. Molly McButter cheese sprinkles (or for those of you that use mac and cheese topping you can use that)
1 – 1 /2 t. salt
1 t. chili powder
¾ t. ground black pepper
½ t. cayenne (if you want them hotter you can add more)
A good sprinkle of each: paprika, onion powder, garlic powder (about ¼ t. each)
1/8 t. cumin
Pinch ground cloves

Shake wings in plastic bag with coating (Outback uses smaller wings for this recipe so that they turn out just right); remove to plate in single layer and allow to sit in the refrigerator about 20 minutes while you are heating your deep fryer.

Fry wings until done; drain; place in large container for shaking and add:

2 T. hot sauce mixed with 1 T. water
Cover and shake gently to coat.

Serve with carrot sticks, celery sticks and your favorite bleu cheese dressing.

Using small wings – about 10 to 12

Those sound like some tasty, simple wings to make. I really like my wings hot, so I’d definitely add more cayenne.
