Honey Garlic Chicken

1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup ketchup
4 chicken legs-thighs ; (legs and thighs)

Mix all ingredients together.
Cut hindquarters into seperate legs and thighs.
You should have 8 pieces of chicken now.
Place in baking dish and pour sauce over top to coat chicken.
This can be done ahead of time and refrigerated.
Bake at 350 for 3/4 hour with lid on, and 3/4 hour with lid off.
If you like the chicken to be a bit crispy then remove chicken to a baking sheet and continue to bake for 15 minutes.
If you like the sauce to be a bit thicker then add a slurry of cornstarch and cold water to the sauce and bring to a boil on top of the stove.
Serve chicken and sauce with hot cooked rice or noodles.

                   Oven Fried Honey Chicken

1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons balsamic or red wine vinegar
1 1/2 cups dried bread crumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 (4-6oz.) fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halves

Preheat oven to 375F.

In shallow bowl, whisk together honey and vinegar. Pour bread crumbs into separated bowl. Set bowls aside. Spread oil over foil-lined baking pan large enough to hold all chicken pieces in one layer. Roll chicken pieces in honey mixture, then in bread crumbs; place in pan.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until cooked thoroughly.


1 can (6 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate
¼ c. honey
2 T. teriyaki sauce
½ t. ginger
½ t. salt
¼ t. plus 1/8 t. pepper
4 chicken breasts (with wings preferred)
2 T. sliced almonds
1 T. vegetable oil
1 ½ lb. Asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
Cooked rice, optional

Heat oven to 375* F. Combine juice, honey, teriyaki sauce and ginger. Remove ¼ c. and reserve for asparagus. Discard backs from breast pieces. Place skin side down in roasting pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; brush with about ¼ c. honey mixture. Bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven; baste. Bake 15 minutes more; baste, bake, etc. until done. Toast almonds in large skillet; remove; add oil to same pan; add asparagus, salt and pepper; stir fry about 4 minutes until crisp-tender. Add reserved juice mixture and cook one minute. Remove to serving platter and sprinkle with almonds. Serve with rice, if desired.

Honey-Mustard Roasted Chicken

Servings: 4

1 lb potatoes, cut into wedges
2 lbs chicken
6 med carrots, cut
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 Tbsp honey
3 Tbsp mustard
1 tsp rosemary
2 hds garlic
salt and pepper to taste

 Preheat oven to 425 F.  In a shallow pan, toss potatoes and carrots

with oil, salt and pepper. Peel the garlic heads and remove the cloves.
Nestle the garlic amongst the vegetables and scatter the rosemary on
top. Arrange the chicken pieces among the vegetables. Bake uncovered
for 30 minutes.
Stir together the mustard and honey, and spread over chicken. Stir
vegetables. Return pan to oven and bake 10-20 minutes more, until
chicken is cooked and vegetables are tender. Scatter the garlic over
the contents of the pan.

Honey-Glazed Chicken
4 servings

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
1 1/2 pounds (4) skinless boneless
chicken breast halves
Combine all ingredients except chicken, stirring well. Baste chicken on both sides, grill about 3-6 minutes on each side, basting with sauce regularly

Honey Barbecued Chicken

1 frying chicken cut up 1/4 lb. butter, melted 1 T. lemon juice 1/2 c. salad dressing 3 T. honey 1 t. paprika 1/4 c. ketchup salt and pepper

Season chicken with salt and pepper. Combine all other ingredients in a shallow baking pan. Put chicken in pan turning once to coat. Bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes, until tender. Baste every 15 minutes.

Very good Honey chicken receipe, tried this out last night and turned out really good, this is a keeper for our family

Hi am trying the Honey Chicken tonight. I cut up boneless chicken breasts into small chunks. My husband and I eat a lot of salads in the summer. On top of the lettuce I will add the Honey chicken, Mandarin orange segments,a little crumbled feta, toasted almonds and( top with a dressing made of 3 TLBS Frozen orange juice Concentrate mixed with a little Balsamic vinegar 1 or 2 TLBS to taste, and a few drops of sesame oil and 1/4 cup salad oil and 2 TLBS. water.

I do the same thing with honey chicken, I use a mix of romaine, iceberg, endive, spinach, mandarin oranges, swiss or fontinella and walnuts!
