Peppermint Punch

This recipe is from a former restaurant owner, Grandma Ross was known far and wide for this festive and tasty punch. Pink and fluffy, it has been a family favorite for several decades.

1 quart peppermint ice cream, softened
1 cup milk
2-litre bottle ginger ale, chilled
Garnish: whole or finely crushed peppermint sticks

In a large punch bowl, blend together ice cream and milk; stir gently. Slowly add ginger ale; stir until combined. Serve with peppermint stick stirrers or sprinkle with finely crushed candy. Serves 8 to 10.
