8 ounces (1/2 pound) lean ground beef or Italian sausage 2 cloves garlic, minced
2-1/2 cups pasta sauce (homemade or jarred will do) 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 Cook the beef and garlic in a large saucepan over medium heat until no longer pink.
2 Strain off the fat and stir in the pasta sauce and spices.
3 Cook over medium heat until very hot but not boiling.
4 Combine the cheeses and stir into the meat mixture until melted.
5 While very hot, place in fondue pot and keep warm over a fondue burner.
6 Serve with breadsticks or cubes of French or Italian bread.
