1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato or pizza sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
8 slices mozzarella cheese
1 (2 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square pan.
Mix Bisquick, egg and milk.
Mix 1 can sauce and oregano with meat. Simmer 10 minutes. Keep hot.
Put half of batter into prepared pan. Pour other can of sauce over and layer 4 slices of cheese. Put beef mixture, mushrooms and other 4 slices of cheese, then Parmesan cheese and remaining batter. Bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
