Potato Onion Rolls For The Bread Machine

2 1/2 c flour
1/2 c instant mashed potatoes
1 1/2 T sugar
1 t salt
2 t active dry yeast
1 c milk
1/4 c butter
1/2 c green onions, sliced
1 egg

Add ingredients in the order listed by the manufacturer. Add green onion when signaled for add-ins. When kneading is done place dough in a greased bowl; cover loosely with plastic wrap and cloth towel. Let rise in a warm place (80 to 85 F) until light and doubled on size, 30 to 45 minutes. Grease 13x9-inch pan. Punch down dough several times to remove all air bubbles.
Divide dough into 12 equal pieces; shape into balls. Place in greased pan. Cover, let rise in warm place until light and doubled in size, 15 to 30 minutes. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
