I’m making a fast lunch of penne pasta and I was thinking about making a white sauce to go with the pasta. I already know how to make a white sauce, but what kind of herbs and spices should I consider adding to the sauce? Also I plan on serving this with some freshly grated parmesan cheese if that helps.
you can add your herbs to the flour when making your sauce - just about anything goes - an Italian herb blend is nice, or basil and marjoram with a pinch of oregano or crushed red pepper flakes - you can use tarragon or thyme or rosemary - whatever you like
