When I was a kid, my mother used to make a mix of instant tea, Tang, powdered lemonade, and spices. You simply added boiling water for a cup of hot, warming comfort. Does anyone have this recipe?
Old newspapers list several similar recipes:
Russian Tea
2 cups Tang
1 envelope unsweetened lemonade
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup instant tea
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Mix well.
Use 2 heaping teaspoons in 1 cup boiling water.

bowl and shake or stir to mix thoroughly.
Store in airtight container.
Use 2 teaspoons in 1 cup boiling water.

1 cup iced tea mix
1 (17.3 oz) jar of Tang
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp ground cloves
Mix all ingredients together.
When a cup of hot beverage is desired, use
a heaping tablespoon of the mixture to one cup of boiling water.
The amount of sugar maybe reduced by 1/2 cup to make a less sweet drink.
