Duncan Hines strawberry cake mix (one box)
1 can of frozen strawberries
1 packet of strawberry Jell-O mix
1-cup fresh strawberries
1 large tub cool whip
Bake strawberry cake to directions on box. Let cool. Take toothpick and poke holes all over top of cake.
Make strawberry Jell-O mix as directed (but do not refrigerate). Take hot Jell-O mix and pour over top of cooled cake.
Put cake in refrigerator to cool for at least 30 min to set (1 hour is better).
While cake is cooling, drain juice from thawed frozen strawberries and add juice to cool whip and stir gently. When juice is added in, add in half of the thawed frozen strawberries to the cool whip and fold in.
When cake is cooled put on cake stand and spread strawberry cool whip over top and sides of cake.
Take fresh strawberries and half them. Place them over top of cake on cool whip frosting. (If you don’t have fresh just use the left over frozen strawberries for the top).
