Roast in Gravy
Flavoured with onion. This is a super easy and fast way to prepare meat and gravy.
1-1/2 lbs lean boneless beef roast, such as sirloin tip
1/2 of a 10 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 of 1-1/2 oz. envelope dry onion soup mix (stir before dividing)
1/4 cup water
Lay roast on long piece of foil in small roaster.
Stir soup, onion soup mix and water together in small bowl. Pour over meat. Fold foil edges together. Cover roaster.
Bake in 300 F oven for 1-1/2 to 2 hours until desired degree of doneness. After removing meat to platter, pour gravy into bowl to serve.
Serves 4, or 2 generously.
NOTE: Use full can of soup and full envelope of onion soup mix for bigger roast (or if you want more gravy ). This recipe is for small roast for 2-3 people.
