Root Beer Angel Food Cake

Cake:
3/4 cup A&W Root Beer
1 box Angel food cake mix
1 teaspoon Nutmeg, ground

Icing:
2-3 tablespoons A&W Root Beer
1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg, grated

Cake:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Prepare angel food cake as directed on package, except replace 3/4 cup of
the water with root beer and add nutmeg. (The root beer and water together
add up to the amount of liquid called for in cake directions.)

Pour into ungreased 13x9x2-inch pan. (Wash pan thoroughly to remove any oil before using.)

Bake at 350°F for 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and cracks are dry
to the touch.

Remove from oven and immediately invert pan and place pan corners onto 4
equal height cups to suspend and cool.

Cool completely.

Icing: Place powdered sugar and nutmeg in small bowl; stir until blended.
Add A&W Root Beer, 1 tablespoon at a time, to desired thickness.

Spread over cool cake.

Makes 12 servings.
