16 oz SPAGHETTI
1/2 STICK OF BUTTER
4 TBSP OLIVE OIL
1 CUP CHOPPED GREEN ONIONS ABOUT 3 onions
1/2 TBSP DRIED PARSLEY
1/2 TSP DRIED OREGANO
1/2 TSP BASIL
1 CLOVE GARLIC
1 TOMATO PEELED AND CHOPPED ABOUT 1/2 CUP
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
(2) 6 1/2 OZ CANS MINCED CLAMS DRAINED AND RESERVE THE JUICE
1/2 CUP PARMESAN
Start the spaghetti by the time it is done the sauce should be ready.
Heat olive oil over medium low heat. Add onions, garlic, tomatoes, and parsley sauté for 2 minutes or so. Stir in oregano, basil and butter bring to a simmer. Add juice from clams and season with salt and pepper. Add clam meat and keep hot until pasta is done. Combine pasta and sauce use about 1/2 of the parmesan and toss. Add remaining parmesan and toss again.
Instead of potatoes make this and serve with your favorite steak. The two different dishes complement each other so well. Excellent
