Cauliflower Soup

1 cauliflower head- small pieces
2 carrots diced

6 T butter - melt in saucepan
5 T flour - stir into butter
1 can consomme soup
3 C boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. salt.
Cook veg in with above till tender- save 1 C liquid
to stir slowly into:
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
2 egg yolks-beaten
After liquid and eggs tempered, add to soup and stir well, serve.
Serves 6-8
