Sour Cherry Soup

I know, you find it hard to believe but it’s true and here it is!

[ul]Sour Cherry Soup

1 can pitted sour cherries
or fresh sour cherries and juice
1 quart water
pinch of salt
1 tbsp flour
1 pint sour cream
sugar to taste
Bring water and cherries to a boil and then add salt.
Add flour to sour cream and thoroughly blend, then gradually add to soup
and simmer 10 minutes.
Add sugar to taste.
Can be served hot or cold.

If you’re game to try something new and tasty you just might be surprised
at this taste sensation. My grandmother thinks her parents brought this
over from Poland with them though she’s not entirely positive on that,
but it has been in our family for a long long time.
