Spice drop cookies


1½ Cup light brown sugar (packed)
1 Cup butter
3 eggs
3 Cups plain flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp allspice
½ tsp cloves
1 Cup nuts (broken in pieces)
2 Cups raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat well. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture in small amounts beating well after each addition. Add nuts and raisins. Dough will be stiff.

Using a spoon, drop on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.

Makes approximately 4 dozen.
