Steak and Tomatoes

This is more of a variation of Swiss Steak but at our house we call it Steak and Tomatoes. It is very easy, very good, and kid friendly. By far one of my favorite dinners to come home to at the end of the day.

Steak and Tomatoes

2-3 lbs Round Steak or London Broil
2 cans Stewed Tomatoes, Italian Flavor
1 Green Pepper, cut into strips
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Olive Oil

Cut meat into portion sizes. Generously salt and pepper both sides of all pieces. Heat olive oil in skillet until nice and hot. Sear both sides of meat pieces until they have a nice golden crust, but not cooked through. Place in crock pot. Empty both cans of tomatoes over the top and put in the green peppers too. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.

Serve with mashed potatoes. Spoon tomatoes from crock pot over the meat and mashed potatoes. YUM!!
