Mama took untold numbers of this bread, banana bread and her homemade rolls to shut ins and her doctors. She did an act of kindness daily for others with food of some kind.
It is a good gift that can be used with a cup of coffee for breakfast.

Another of Mother’s favorites to take to friends.
Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 cups sugar
4 eggs well beaten
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
2 cups thawed sliced frozen strawberries
1 1/4 cups chopped pecans
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients together. Add eggs, oil, strawberries and pecans. Stir just until all ingredients are moistened.
Spoon batter into two well greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 60- 70 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool in pans 5 minutes then remove to wire rack.
Number Of Servings: Yeilds 2 loaves
