Strawberry Truffle Pizza

1 roll (20 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 pints baskets fresh strawberries
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 400º F. Cut the cookie dough into {omitted} inch slices. Pace in a foil lined 14-inch round pizza pan with a 1/2 inch high rim. Press the dough together to form a crust on the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes, or until golden.

Meanwhile, in a 2-cup glass measure, combine the chocolate chips and cream. Microwave on High for 90 seconds, or until the chocolate is melted and smooth when stirred. Stir in the vanilla.

Rinse, drain and hull the strawberries. Cut in half lengthwise.

Spread the chocolate cream evenly over the baked crust. Beginning at the edge, arrange the strawberries on the crust in a circle pattern, cut sides down and with the points toward the outside edge of the pan; cover the chocolate completely with berries. Refrigerate until set, at least 30 minutes.
