stuff ok to freeze

I have a zillion questions about freezing. How about dried cranberries? Fresh green beans? Is there a list with what can be and what shouldn’t be? Some people freeze flour - why? Thanks, JJ

Dried cranberries ok, green beans and tomatoes can be but are better canned in fruit jars. I freeze flour and meal both to keep out pesky little insects.
I also freeze corn, green peas, field peas, lima beans, orka, squash, peaches, cherries, blueberries, black berries, broccoli, kale, and other greens such as mustard.
I also freeze peppers, celery, carrots because they tend to go bad in frig before I can get them all used up. You should cut up while frozen and go straight into your dish, because if you let them thaw they go to mush.
Also garlic because it retains the flavor just as if it were fresh.
I have also frozen coffee to keep it fresh as when it was bought. I always keep coffee in the frig after it is opened whether frozen or not.

Again, KW, thanks sooooo much. I am continually amazed at how you can cook, bake, etc., etc., and still have take time to respond to us novices with our silly questions. I would love to have the recipe for your dipping sauce you have referred to in the past. JJ
