Stuffed Green Peppers

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 tsp reg pepper
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 cup rice (not fast cook rice)
1 med onion
3 tbsp butter
2 small cans tomato sauce
10 small green peppers[/ul]

Wash peppers and cut off the tops, remove seeds, scrape out with spoon.
Mince and brown onion in butter, pour into bowl then add meat, rice, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix well. Fill green peppers about 1/2 full with the meat mixture. Place peppers into a deep pot and then pour the tomato sauce over with enough water to just cover. Simmer for about 1 hr or until rice is cooked.
