Sounds like a wonderful idea. One type of cookbook that would be helpful to a lot of people is one that contained gluten-free recipes. Another good one is vegan (not just vegetarian) and/or raw recipes. Healthy foods that don’t require a ton of salt and sugar to taste good should become staple items, and with the right recipes showing us how to prepare nature’s bounty without all the flavor additives, we could become a healthier nation. So a cookbook with that kind of content would also be awesome. Of course, with one-a-month offerings, there should be the choice to decline a particular month’s book, but there would certainly be enough to choose from at 52 per year.

Thanks Ron,
A Cookbook of the week club sounds great. I love to read cookbooks. They give me new ideas to try. What kind? All kinds. I love to eat everything, especially the really spicy foods.
Thanks again,
Steve

I think it’s a good idea to offer ebooks if pricing is competitive. I cannot afford e-reader or ebooks, but I have an app on my phone that offers free access via local library membership. I would love to see them offer cookbooks this way!

Hey Ron,

Obviously you want us to do your market research for you. You are one smart cookie.

I think the idea is great and may compete with you. I personally like lots of different cookbooks.

Sounds like a good idea.

I LOVE this idea! Healthy, easy, homestyle recipes.

Ebooks probably cost mucho dinero to print @ home. I love a hardcover book. Ethnic selections would be refreshing.

I would like to see healthy deserts made with every day ingredients for kids, being equally appealing to adults. I have 5 kids & coming up with variety in lunch box treat ideas is always a tough thing to.

I would also like to see recipes offered that get kids involved in cooking and are safe for them to do.

I think it’s a great idea, but how much are you thinking of?

I think it is a great idea as long as the price is right.

As for what type of recipes, I think good for you, low calorie and small quantities as I am only cooking for two now.

  1. Great idea
  2. Home made old recipes

Sorry computer kept freezing…Quick and easy meals would be great.

The cookbooks idea is great. The problem I have is money. I cannot afford to spend anything on cookbooks due to fixed income and rising costs of everythihg. If I would be able to join I would love one-pot recipes, campfire cooking, kids cooking (for kids who are intermediate cooks not beginners), grilling out books, homemade versions of popular packaged mixes, ethnic cookbooks, simple and good recipes. I don’t “need” any more cookbooks- I probably have 300 physical books and nearly 500 recipes on my computer. But I love cookbooks and reading cookbooks and new recipes.

I enjoy baking Greek and Armenian pastries. I also enjoy baking CheeseCake Factory recipes.

Overall it sounds like a good idea.

However, I like pictures with my recipes. Even if pictures were included, I probably wouldn’t print many off because I don’t have a color printer. I would not want to hinder other people though so don’t count my “vote” as negative.

I, also, have many cookbooks, but I am always looking for new recipes. Therefore, an ebook would be a nice way to accomplish acquiring new recipes. I would prefer recipes that have common ingredients. Too often I have purchased an ingredient for a recipe which is seldom used and then becomes wasted.
Thanks!

I like the idea. I would like to see fresh new recipe themes: vegetarian, healthy cooking, salads, recipes featuring fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, etc.

I think we already have plenty of old fashioned cooking: fried foods, cream, mayonnaise and butter recipes on this site. Time to lighten up and add some fresh new recipe categories.

Most folks today are interested in lighter, fresher, healthier cooking.

I love looking through cook books, trying to find new and different things but I would not want to be obligated to buy on a regular basis.

As an educator, I would be interested in easy diabetic recipes for one or two people. Also need something for those who are gluten intolerant. For myself, I would like diabetic snacks and desserts recipes.

  1. I actually prefer a traditional book.
  2. Southwest and Italian.
