Swiss Green Beans, aka Fat Beans

This casserole is very good and very not so good for the body but you have to splurge every now and then…here it is:

1/2 Cup Cornflakes, crumbled
2 T. Melted Butter
2 T. Flour
1 Tsp. sugar
2 Cans French-cut Green Beans (drained)
1/4 Tsp. Instant Minced Onion
2 Cups Grated Swiss Cheese
2 T. Additional Butter
1 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Pepper
1 Cup Sour Cream

Mix crumbs and 2 tablespoons of butter; set aside. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and flour, salt, sugar and pepper; add sour cream and onion. Stir and cook until bubbly, stirring constantly. Add green beans and pour into 1-1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese; top with crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Note: You can prepare this the night before and then bake the next day.
