1 dark chocolate cake mix
1 stick unsalted butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup water
2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
12 oz. frozen Cool Whip topping, thawed
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
In large bowl mix the cake mix, eggs, butter or margarine, and water until thick and smooth. Pour into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake @350 for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely. While cake cools in a large bowl mix cream cheese, whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until thick and fluffy. Frost cake; drizzle with chocolate syrup.
