The Lumberjack Burger
makes 2 good size patties
1/4 pound ground round ( notice I did not specify just beef ; good with wild game as well )
1 2x2 inch piece of cornbread , crumbled fine
1 tbls worchestershire sauce
1 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp granulated garlic or 1 clove fresh minced fine
1 tsp lime pepper
1 tbls ale
2 tbls finely chopped mushrooms ( wild if you have them )
1 - 2 tsp tabasoco sauce
1/2 tbls melted butter
1 tbls butter
Mix the first 12 ingredients together to resemble a fine pate and shape into burgers. Melt the 1 tbls butter in a pan over medium heat until anute
.
Place the burgers in the pan and immediatly reduce the heat to medium low.
Cook until burger is done to your liking.
Serve on toasted hard rolls with spicy brown mustard and pickle.
Sliced raw onion is also a good topping.
This will taste sort of like a good scrapple.
